We are side by side as we look skyward at the unimaginable beauty that unfolds... I think of you as the violin, and I, the piano, sharing our intense bond with nature...

The music begins quietly before flowering into a lush melody full with love and wonder. From beginning to end it is as if a single breath made longer by the sharing of love...

With time, an oboe, French horn, and clarinet sing as spirit creatures that weave and dance about one another, before the music calms once more as the violin and piano return to play their indelible, focused, duet, full with the mystery of living things.

The complete name of this work 'A Single Breath of Love Lasts Long into the Night' is shortened to 'A Breath of Love' when published online. The shorter title is more accessible and more immediately remembered, however the complete title speaks of how each moment of love we feel or give nurtures our inner world so very much longer than a single physical breath.

Trees reach into the night air, full with fractured starlight, beauty, and colour. Experiencing my love of nature alone is uplifting, but sharing this love with another strengthens my spirit tenfold. I yearn for these all too infrequent moments I feel so intensely with another...
