Cool Limbs to Fingered Heat

A cast iron staircase with wooden rails is the backdrop to three white cylindrical limbs that fall from the sky, then spread their finger-like radiator warmth into the bright air before touching the cool marbled-tiled floor.

This photograph was taken in a corner of the Grand Gallery which forms part of the National Museum of Scotland, one of the most beautiful building interiors I have experienced. I love its white-blue light, the forms, structures, and discovery of this place.
